Crown The Empire [Show Review + Live Gallery]

Crown The Empire’s summer tour is underway, attracting metalcore fans around the country. Supported by Out Came the Wolves, Palaye Royale, and I See Stars, the Texas quartet delivered a night of energetic rock to a packed house at New Jersey’s GameChanger World. This time around, Crown The Empire gave their fans the opportunity for a unique concert experience with VIP package offerings, including exclusive merch and a meet and greet with the band.

Beginning the set with the first four tracks of Retrograde, the band worked backwards through their discography. The response from the crowd was so intense that our time in the photo pit was cut short.  Next, they thrilled fans by going back to their roots with “Voices” from 2011’s Limitless and “The One You Feed” from The Fallout. The brutal heat failed to slow down the band or the fans, making security work hard to keep everyone safe.

Another highlight of the set was “Hologram,” a newer and incredibly catchy track from Retrograde that had everyone singing along. As per usual, Crown The Empire ended the night with an incredible performance of “Machines,” one of the most dark and dramatic tracks in their catalogue.
