CULTURE COLLIDE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES SECOND ROUND OF ARTIST ADDITIONS

Culture Collide is thrilled to announce the second round of artist additions to its festivals in Los Angeles and San Francisco this October.  The fifth annual edition of Culture Collide Los Angeles will take place October 16th to 18th, and for the first year, Culture Collide will expand to San Francisco, October 14th to 15th.  The addition of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (USA), Takeoffs & Landings (Peru), The Revolters (Turkey), Dorine Levy (Israel), Autostrad (Jordan), and Sleep Thieves (Ireland) among others, builds upon an international lineup of performers that already featured Cloud Nothings (USA), Nina Persson (Sweden), Quantic live (Colombia), Until the Ribbon Breaks (UK), PINS (UK), Go Back to the Zoo (The Netherlands), Beat Connection (USA), and more. Full lineups and ticket details for Los Angeles and San Francisco editions of Culture Collide below.

Launched in 2010 by FILTER Creative Group, and FILTER Magazine founder, Alan Miller, over the past half decade Culture Collide has established itself as a unique and exciting international gathering where attendees exchange ideas at its Creative Summit, and experience art, food, drink, and music from all corners of the world. Now produced as part of Miller’s newly established editorial platform (CultureCollide.com) and company (COLLiDE), unlike contemporary festivals and conferences where lineups mirror a year end list of well known US album releases, and panelists more or less come from similar backgrounds, Culture Collide puts the focus on true discovery on a worldwide scale. “With the new launch of our editorial platform and new festival cities we are committed to showcasing the best International talent, customs and culture.” says Miller. As such, the 2014 edition of  Culture Collide Los Angeles and inaugural launch of Culture Collide San Francisco will showcase a  meticulously curated boutique line up of artists, foods, drinks, and creative industry luminaries from through the globe.

As an integral part of both Culture Collide Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Culture Collide Creative Summit will bring together an eclectic mix of influential speakers from the music, entertainment, and lifestyle industries. Delegates from around the world will discuss the current climate and future of art, recorded music, record sales, touring, brand partnerships, digital strategies and more. Open to all Culture Collide wristband holders, further details and a lineup of speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Culture Collide will continue the tradition of International Happy Hours each evening during the festival as an opportunity for wristband holders to kick-off the night with a taste of live music and libations that share a homeland. Past years have included beers and bands from Sweden, Poland, The Netherlands, UK and more – 2014’s line-up to be announced in the coming weeks.

Culture Collide events in Los Angeles will take place at historic Los Angeles venues along Sunset Blvd. and beyond, including The Echo, Echoplex, Taix, The Church and the Culture Collide World Stage, located at the Taix parking lot.  While San Francisco’s Mission District plays host at The Chapel, Elbo Room, West of Pecos, Amnesia, and Mission Workshop.
