New York, NY | August 4, 2014 – Emily Katter is an upbeat, curly haired, pop singer-songwriter hailing from the iconic streets of Manhattan. Today Emily has teamed up with AXS.com for the exclusive world premiere of her new “Comfortable” music video. The song, a powerful ballad that explores the emotions of being in a long-term relationship and keeping the flame from burning out, was co-written by fellow NYC-based singer-songwriter, Hadar Orshalimy, and co-produced by Dan “Robopop” Omelio, (Maroon 5, Gym Class Heroes, Lana Del Rey) and Eli Menezes (Lauren Hill, Trey Songz, Estelle). Emily enlisted the help of director, Aaron Katter, director of photography, Clair Popkin and hair and makeup artist, Victoria Evigan, to create the stunning video. Last week Emily hosted a video release party in which she also raised over $600 to benefit Musicians On Call, an organization that brings musicians into hospitals to perform at patients bedside. Contributions were more than enough to fund live music in one hospital room for a year!

Emily Katter is a singer-songwriter with a soulful alternative-pop sound. Her particular brand of pop merges her love of folk/rock music from the 60’s and 70’s to the female powerhouse vocalists of the 90’s. The single was recently featured on Katie Couric’s new show, Katie during a segment featuring cast members of The Bachelor. “Heart Explosion” and “Summer Soul”, both from the EP, were released on the compilation 100% Black Vol. 15 by Blanco y Negro (Spain’s leading dance label). “Heart Explosion” was also featured on a playlist for a compilation album to benefit the Vh1 Save the Music Foundation.
