“Glyn’s renditions of popular Christmas songs are no different in experimentation from her original music as she takes you from the traditional Christmas sing-along to a futuristic compilation of something I like to call ‘Christmas on LSD’.” – Mind Equals Blown

“A true tour-de-force, Erica is a whirlwind of ideas with an attitude to match.” – The Deli Magazine

New York, NY | December 3, 2015 – Last year Brooklyn-based rocktronica artist and audio engineer/producer, Erica Glyn, unleashed her quirky Christmas EP, ‘The Glyn That Stole Christmas.‘ The 4-track EP that originally dropped on November 26th, 2013 via her BandCamp page and is now available on iTunes and CD Baby. Glyn received praise for her refreshingly unique renditions of your favorite holiday standards like “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night.” The imaginatively creative DIY music video for her interpretation of the classic “Winter Wonderland”featuring NYC artist/producer Charley Hustle (The Hustle Standard) is an explosion of Christmas, complete with tacky sweaters, presents, hand cut paper snowflakes and so much more. The song has been described as, “dynamic” and transporting the listener “into a new type of winter wonderland”. Watch Erica Glyn’s “Winter Wonderland” here: http://youtu.be/P6Kabwl0Ltc

“The best part about making a holiday EP was the challenge of taking very traditional music that everyone is very familiar with and trying to make it fresh and different. I tried to create a new take on the material while still borrowing some instrumentation from traditional versions that are so familiar to us. I love doing cover songs because it allows me the freedom to really create something new without feeling so precious about the material.” – Erica Glyn

Her passion and drive for her own development exploded in her 2012 full-length release, STATIC, which was released to critical acclaim. Erica has been described as “a heck of a talent… among the few who could restore your faith in organized sound.” Thealbum was written, recorded and produced by Erica, with contributions from a collection of well-respected artists and special mixes by multiple Grammy award-winning master music-maker and friend, Chris Lord-Alge. Erica’s 2013 EP, “The Glyn That Stole Christmas,” was refreshing and interesting take on traditional Christmas songs including a rendition of “Winter Wonderland” with NYC Billboard-Charting artist/producer Charley Hustle (The Hustle Standard). To go along with the EP, Erica and Charley created an incredible DIY video that captured the essence of Christmas with purchases from the Goodwill and adorable handmade sets.  Erica’s undeniable songwriting ability, visually stunning music videos, and outside-the-box approach has garnered her industry praise and features in some of today’s best music publications, such as Artist Direct, The Deli, Substream Magazine, SonicScoop, and more.
