FEATURED NOISE: Exclusive CMJ Showcase Review at Muchmores featuring…

CMJ hit New York City this week where industry professionals and music lovers alike got to enjoy hundreds of showcases all across Manhattan and Brooklyn. Behind The Curtains Media teamed up with TJO Presents and DHM Agency to host an eight-band bill that was Sponsored by SwitchBitch Records. The showcase rocked Muchmore’s in Brooklyn on Saturday night. The Williamsburg bar/coffee house/music venue was packed full of people settling in for what ended up being a six-hour music marathon.

Folk-punk band Out of System Transfer started the evening off strong, with solo artist Brook Pridemore following after with his own style of alt-rock. Manic Pixi came next and got the crowd up and moving with their infectious energy and pop-grunge music. From there, the night moved on to Brooklyn-local rockers The Fancy Balloons, and an intensely emotional set from The Shackeltons. Grundle Thunder brought their punk-rock vibe to the evening with a set that kept the crowd moving, and the evening ended strong with powerful sets from alternative-psych-rock band Cosmonaut, and Brooklyn natives Great Caesar.
