InMe Reveal ‘The Trilogy: Dawn’ Released 4th May 2015 via PledgeMusic

Essex, UK based rock quartet, InMe, have are pleased to reveal they are currently in the studio working on a mammoth three-record concept album project made up of three thematically distinct albums: Dawn, Sentience and Quietus. The band will release the first record titled ‘The Trilogy: Dawn’ on May 4th 2015 via PledgeMusic.

The news comes following their appearance on the main stage at Takedown Festival recently alongside Mallory Knox, The Blackout and Arcane Roots. In addition to unveiling details of their new project, InMe have also announced a lengthy run of UK tour dates and festivals in support of the record – full dates below.

“It’s been a fun chilled out recording session alongside our long-time collaborative producer and sonic wizard Mike Curtis at the ever expanding CDS Studios” explains front man Dave McPherson“Trilogy is going to be a trio of albums exploring birth, life & death with this particular record focusing on birth, beginnings, childhood & youth. We’ve used two very old ideas that I demoed years ago as the basis for a couple of songs, which is one of many things that ties it all together as a piece that focuses on our earlier times.”

Lead single ‘Ivory Elder’ is undoubtedly one of the more personal tracks on the album for McPherson, who explains; “Ivory Elder explores the idea of cycles of alcohol abuse & the idea that the sins of the father are visited by the son, in many cases. This is the first album of the Trilogy which begins with youth & growing up. The sub-heading of this song is Hymn, referring to music & my father is one of the integral reasons I became so passionate about music. We’ve also both had our fair share of drinking so it all links together with hints of his influential (on me) piano playing, escapism & excuses. At the core of it though it’s a kind song, also very refined & catchy which made it the obvious launch single for us!”

Over the years, the band have toured with the likes of Nickelback, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Deftones, Serj Tankian, Staind, Feeder and Biffy Clyro as well as having played various festival slots. Recent highlights include an over-capacity appearance on the third stage at Sonisphere Festival 2011, an XFM live session in 2012 and an insane amount of touring, including supporting The Rasmus across Europe. They can now also add headlining the metal stage at Y Not? Festival, performing at 2000 Trees and headlining the second stage at Lithuania’s biggest festival to their lengthy CV.

Back to the present day, on June 1st 2014 InMe released “The Destinations EP”; a fan funded fully independent 4-track studio EP, earning KKKK in Kerrang magazine “taking the DIY route to excellence”. Most recent album “The Pride” was released in February 2012 (Rock Sound 8/10, Kerrang KKKK) and was #8 in the UK Indie Albums chart, with XFM DJ Rich Walters hailing it as “magnificent”.

With next year marking their 20th anniversary as a band and five full-length studio albums to their name, it’s been a long road for this Essex band of brothers who have consistently weathered the ever-changing storm of the music industry and come out fighting. The Trilogy is undoubtedly their most ambitious project to date and looks set to be the crowning jewel in an already impressive collection of material.
