The debut self-titled LP from Velocity/Rise Records’ ISSUES made a huge impact with music fans in its first week, debuting at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 and landing at #1 on both the Independent Album and Hard Music Charts. The album, which sold 22,397 copies, also landed at #2 on the Rock Chart and at #4 on the official UK Rock Chart.
Issues, the follow up to the band’s critically acclaimed “Black Diamonds” EP, has also been embraced by critics, with Alternative Press proclaiming: “This is the future of metalcore” and Substream raving, “This is the album you need to jam in 2014.” Kerrang! heralded the effort as an, “almost perfect debut from genre-less hotshots…” while Rock Sound labeled it, “…an extremely important album.”
Unclean vocalist Michael Bohn says, “It’s honestly hard to put into words how truly blessed we feel. We can’t even begin to thank everyone who helped out with this record. We’ve never been so proud of something in our lives. So much work went into this and it definitely paid off. Thank you to all the crazy hooligans who support us and stick by us. You mean the world to this band. Much love!”
In a relatively short time, ISSUES has seen a tremendous amount of success thanks to their genre-defying sound and constant tour schedule – opening for acts like A Day To Remember, Of Mice & Men, Pierce The Veil, Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens, and a stint on the Vans Warped Tour.
ISSUES is currently out on The American Dream Tour, along with Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice & Men, letlive and Northlane. The tour launched earlier this month and includes stops at the annual South By So What Festival in Grand Prarie, TX on March 15, The Self Help Festival, headlined by A Day To Remember, in San Bernardino, CA on March 22 and Extreme Thing in Las Vegas, NV on March 29. The band has also been announced as the headliner for the Vans Warped Tour Kick Off Party at Los Angeles’ Club Nokia on April 1st and will take part in the entire run of the Vans Warped Tour this summer, which begins on June 14 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Issues was produced by Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens, A Lot Like Birds, “Black Diamonds” EP) and is now available everywhere. To purchase on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/issues/id785638438.
