New York, NY | February 10, 2015 – Electro-rock/pop project, KIT, is the brainchild of Kit Walters, a New York City-based artist, songwriter, and producer. Some may know from his time as front man for progressive metal band Scapegoat (Tragic Hero Records) or as the featured vocalist for the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance video game. KIT is kicking off 2015 with an exciting new sound with his latest single, “No Mercy.” The aggressive blues-rock track, a departure from KIT’s more electro-infused “Through The Fire” EP (September 2014), is coursing with the testosterone of Johnny Cash and Finger Eleven, and the swagger of Sons of Anarchy. It’s a perfect pairing with Kit Walter’s deep, gravelly and powerful voice, which differs from his past use of pop and electronic rock, and deviates away from his smooth and sweet side of vocal styling. Today KIT has partnered with Crave Online for the exclusive premiere of the official “No Mercy” music video, with Crave raving, “What begins as a hypnotic thread of melancholy in the vein of T Bone Burnett shifts into a passionate thrill ride as Kit goes from a tongue-lashing from a jilted lover at the bar to getting the shit kicked out of him in the street.”

ABOUT KIT:
Kit Walters is an American recording artist, writer, songwriter, and producer that push the boundaries of incorporating multiple musical styles including electronic, pop, rock, blues, and progressive/alternative. At the age of 18, already the dynamic front man for the progressive metal band Scapegoat, he began producing and recording fellow label mates with Tragic Hero Records. With a passion for memorable hooks, Kit has created numerous fan favorites and bestsellers with artists such as Alesana, A Skylit Drive, and letlive. He’s worked as a writer, producer and composer on projects for World Wrestling Entertainment, West One’s Noise Refinery, Megatrax, and was the featured vocalist for Konami’s cross-platform video game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Kit pulls his writing inspiration from everything he can, stating, “It’s really about the song itself for me. I don’t like putting myself in a box creatively or stylistically. The music that comes to me reflects where I’m resonating at that point in time, but at the drop of a hat can easily go in another direction all together.”

Now a seasoned producer, writer, and performer, the ever evolving artist is pushing the boundaries with his new project, aptly dubbed KIT. Bringing an explosive energy to the stage in an unconventional, unforgettable blend of rock-inspired electronic pop, Kit Walters called upon the musical expertise of Lisa Hickox (bass/vocals), Spencer Bensch (guitar), Sammy Clark (drums), Ro Young (keys/vocals), and Yuiko Kamakari (Strings), to round out his eclectic sound. KIT released a debut 6-song EP, ‘Through The Fire’, on September 9, 2014 and has had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as One Republic, Cobra Starship, Flo Rida, Capital Cities, Kat Graham, Bret Michaels and many more.

With dedication and a fierce passion, KIT has begun to make his mark on the future of rock and pop music. Bringing timeless songs that connect with others on a deep and intimate level, he will be releasing his dark and dirty new single, “No Mercy,” in early 2015. “No Mercy” displays a blues and southern-rock style, and will broaden his fan base with his rugged Johnny cash-like vocals, as well as providing a dark and rough blues/rock melodies and harmonics. KIT is planning for a sophomore EP in the coming months, which will push the envelope further towards impressing and intriguing his listeners.
