“Complex but Basic. Flossy, yet lyrically impressive. Familiar, but at the same time fresh and new. As befitting the group’s stage name, the Oxymorrons’ sound is full of apparent contradictions, but their hybrid style makes perfect sense in practice.” – DJ Booth

“Oxymorrons are THIS CLOSE to taking over the hip-hop game.” – MTV Buzzworthy

About Oxymorrons:

The Oxymorrons have been making music their way since the Queens bred brothers joined forces. After years spent playing and touring with other groups, it was clearly time for K.I. and Deee to set the New York scene ablaze. Rounding out the group is drummer Matty Mayz, who has become an intricate part of the group’s live show. The Oxymorrons are not a hip-hop group in case you were wondering. They are not a rock group, or a pop act. They are the aftermath of a massive collision between inspiration and boundless creativity.

Since forming the group continued gaining momentum by playing various shows around New York City, finally catching their first big break opening for Lupe Fiasco. These early local successes lead to collaborating with Jay-Z’s Artful Dodger brand on bi-costal events hosted by Sway Calloway of MTV and DJ Skee to release their mixtape, “STFU and Listen.” Propelled by the mixtape’s reception, the guys quickly found their infectious energy and creativity in demand as they were tapped to tour with Gym Class Heroes and asked to co-write and feature on Wynter Gordon’s dance hit “TKO.” Shortly after Oxymorrons premiered their “Alone” music video exclusively with MTV’s Buzzworthy blog and performed a sold out RedBull Sounds of the City show with Danny Brown at Knitting Factory Brooklyn.

The Oxymorrons’ high energy performances, pop culture infused lyrics, and mesmerizing music has earned them a legion of fans leading to collaborations with the likes of RedBull, Rocawear, Marvel, DeadBolt, Modify Watches, and SaturdayNight Live. They have played some of the biggest festivals including SXSW, Firefly, AfroPunk Fest, Funk Fest, CMJ and more. They have shared the stage with chart toping acts like Outkast, Common, Ludacris, Juicy J, B.o.B, Gym Class Heroes, Erykah badu, Janelle Monae, Ke$ha, Bad Rabbits, Rhianna, Neon Hitch, Salt N Pepa and more.

Oxymorrons are currently gearing up to release an onslaught of new music, content, and tour dates. Keep up with the band online for news and updates.
