Scottish Alternative Hip Hop Artist to release “A Thing Brand New”

Edinburgh-based alternative hip-hop band Stanley Odd return with their third studio album A Thing Brand New, due for release on Monday 10th November on A Modern Way Records, available as a limited edition heavy-weight vinyl, CD digi-pak and digital download.
From social commentary, to personal stories, A Thing Brand New is a collection of songs, words and music graphically interlaced in ultra high definition. This album is Stanley Odd at their most organic and evolved; comfortable in the awkwardness of their own skins.
The record follows up from the band’s second album Reject, which was shortlisted for a 2012 Scottish Album of the Year.

Clash Magazine recently premiered their latest video for “Pastime” and the band have also continued to gain support from high profile media outlets including BBC Radio 1, XFM, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio and publications such as The Guardian, The Skinny, The Herald, The List, 405 and many others.

To accompany the release of A Thing Brand New, Stanley Odd will embark on a headline UK tour, as well as selected Autumn festival appearances including Malawi’s Lake of Stars Festival, which was named the ‘world’s most spectacular music festival’ by the Guardian.
