STREAM: “Keep It With You”
If you’ve been following along with Austin, TX five-piece Shadow of Whales‘ release strategy, you know that the beginning of a new month signifies the release of a brand new single. Breaking into March, Shadow of Whales have released another catchy sampling, this time for their track “Keep It With You.” A clip can be streamed HERE and Patreon supporters who contribute $1 or more per month will have access to the full track, along each new track throughout the year.
“”Keep It With You” is really an internal dialogue and struggle with yourself.” explains the band. “Those moments when you know who you want to be and where you want to be but your flaws are keeping you from being there and it’s massively frustrating. There is that yearning to be the person you know you could become in the future but without having to wait for the future to come.”
Each month throughout 2016 a new song will be released on their Patreon page. Other benefits that supporters will receive include limited edition print photos, merch, discounts, and much more.
Explaining their decision to use Patreon for new releases, the bands says, “If you like our music or believe in what we’re doing, please consider going on this journey with us. The more people, the merrier; and the more supporters we have the more music fans we can encourage and inspire! Our goal is to spread hope and love as far as sound can reach and with your help, we can!”
2014’s debut EP charted on CMJ‘s Top 200 and has seen regular rotation at Starbucks Coffee across the United States and Canada. Shadow of Whales have performed at several festivals such as the Vans Warped Tour (San Antonio), Heart of Texas Rockfest, and South By So What?! Festival.
