BROOKLYN, NY | December 10, 2014 – Brooklyn-based artist, composer, producer, audio engineer, and musician extraordinaire, Erica Glyn, is currently preparing for the release of her highly anticipated EP, Dollars For Thieves. The new project further explores her gritty, yet emotive signature rock-electronica hybrid sound. Today Erica has announced fans will be able to pick up her 5-track EP Dollars for Thieves on January 27, 2015. The EP hosts four original tracks including debut single, “All Just For You,” which AllMusic.com called “a dark, hypnotic feel that is sometimes reminiscent of Tricky’s early solo albums before Glyn’s voice and a jagged guitar riff pick up the momentum.”Alongside the diverse, kaleidoscopic tunes, the EP also has Erica’s unique rendition of Echo & the Bunnymen’s “The Killing Moon.” Self-produced and engineered, the EP also boasts the talents of master music makers John Ginty (Citizen Cope, Jewel), Shazad Ismaily (Lou Reed, Tom Waits), Joe Tomino (Matisyahu, Dub Trio, Lady Gaga), and more, with mixes done by Erica and Charley Hustle (The Hustle Standard) and mastering by Mike Rogers (Sinead O’Connor, Mark Anthony). Erica spent months working on this EP and filmed her process to capture what truly went into creating Dollars for Thieves.
