SPEAK LOW IF YOU SPEAK LOVE WILL RELEASE RE-MASTERED LP, ‘EVERYTHING BUT WHAT YOU NEED,’ ON MARCH 31ST

February 25, 2015 – Los Angeles, CA – Prolific singer-songwriter and State Champs bassist Ryan Scott Graham’s solo indie-rock outfit Speak Low If You Speak Love will be releasing a re-mastered version of his debut LP,Everything But What You Need, with Pure Noise Records on March 31st. Fans can pre-order the record beginning today at SpeakLow.MerchNow.com.
In anticipation for the upcoming release, they have partnered with AltPress.com today to premiere a new lyric video for the track “Adjacent.” Watch it now at http://bit.ly/1MSrtMr.

“‘Adjacent’ is a very blunt song about trying and failing,” Graham says. “A few years back, I drove to Chicago to see a girl. I had just lost my job, so I had no money, no serious responsibilities and figured what better way to expend the little energy and motivation that I did have on pursuing the relationship. In the back of my mind, I think I knew I didn’t stand a chance, but I ignored my gut feeling and went for it. What came out of the experience is “Adjacent.” On one hand, it’s a tale of bravery, encouraging listeners to trust their intuition even when things seem impossible. On the other hand, it’s a true story about losing. Things didn’t go the way I hoped they would, and I didn’t get the girl, but I needed to write this song to come to terms with that.”
Graham’s heartfelt storytelling can be felt throughout Everything But What You Need’s fourteen tracks. The music showcases his incredible knack for songwriting and ability to touch listeners with an open vulnerability and honesty.
Everything But What You Need started as a conceptual E.P. and quickly grew into a culmination of ideas and feelings on relationships, sprinkled with very specific experiences I’ve had with the people who have impacted me emotionally,” Graham adds. “More specifically, it tells the nonlinear story of me as a human being and how and why I behave the way I do. I’d be willing to bet there are songs on this record about people who don’t even know how greatly they’ve influenced me. EBWYN is the only therapy I’ve ever had.”
Graham will be taking his act Speak Low If You Speak Love on tour in late March in support of the new release. Follow him at https://www.facebook.com/speaklowmusic for additional updates.
