STOP BREATHING: Revolver Magazine Now Playing Entire Second Album From Cali Hardcore Punk Squad; V LP Out This Week
Revolver Magazine is now hosting a stream of V, the brand new second LP from California punk/hardcore ragers, STOP BREATHING, which is set for release tomorrow.
The five members of STOP BREATHING recorded the aptly titled V in their fifth year together, the record officially the band’s fifth release. Definitely inspired by their West Coast heroes, the band’s brew of melodic hardcore/rampant punk melds elements of 7 Seconds, Poison Idea, Bl’ast, The Descendents, Good Riddance, Suicidal Tendencies and the like into a raucous but slick record, the rapid deployment of its twelve new tracks happening in barely thirty minutes. Recorded by Armand John Anthony at the Captains Quarters in Ventura, mastered by Paul Miner at Buzz Bomb Sound Labs (Death By Stereo, H20), and completed by artwork by Kane Shimek and Ruben Perez, V now sees release as a cooperative title through Burning Tree Records and Rotten To The Core Records, with a cassette version through the band’s own Bad Touch Records.
Kick your day into high gear with Revovler Magazine’s stream of STOP BREATHING’s V album RIGHT HERE.
V will be released on 180-gram vinyl in two color variations – 200 on green/black mix and 300 on black – and all major digital outlets tomorrow, Friday, August 14th. Preorders for the LP can be placed HERE.
As more shows and impending tours are booked, STOP BREATHING has confirmed their upcoming set at the first day of Nardfest in Ventura, California on August 28th as a record release show for V, as they hit the stage with Dr. Know, Excel, Nails and others.
STOP BREATHING Live:
8/28/2015 Ventura Theater – Ventura, CA @ Nardfest w/ Dr. Know, Excel, Nails, more
Based out of Oxnard, California, boasting an energetic brew of late-’80s skate-punk/hardcore, STOP BREATHING alsobears members of The Fucking Wrath, Glass & Ashes, The Missing 23rd, Young Livers, Catholic Spit and others. Since 2012 the band has toured around the West Coast US and beyond, and has released a stack of material in rapid succession; their acclaimed, self-titled debut LP on No Idea Records in 2012 bridged by a 2010-releaed self-titled EP and 2013-released Santa CruzEP, both via Rotten To The Core Records.
Be on watch for much more STOP BREATHING action to be announced in the coming months following the release of V including new tour dates and more.
