THE ICARUS LINE ANNOUNCE WEST COAST WINTER TOUR

“An eminently powerful work of rock ‘n’ roll from start to finish,
Slave Vows hasn’t saved the soul of rock music, but it sure as hell has revitalized it.” – Popmatters

“Just when you think you’ve fallen out of love with The Icarus Line,
they fuck you up all over again.” – Drowned in Sound

Los Angeles-based rockers The Icarus Line are proud to announce a West-coast tour for this winter, which will start on December 1 at Velvet Jones in Santa Barbara, CA and conclude onDecember 12 at Soda Bar in San Diego, CA. The full list of tour dates is below, with more to be announced soon.

The group has been pretty busy as of late — since the recent release of their mini-LP Avowed Slavery and their full-length Slave Vows (featuring “Don’t Let Me Save Your Soul“) before that, they’ve been hard at work in the studio wrapping up a brand new full-length that will be in the hands of eager listeners next year.

Anger, they say, is an energy, but energy counts for nothing unless you know how to wield it correctly. Los Angeles hellions The Icarus Line have spent a decade and change mastering that energy, manifesting via retina-scarring, pulse-quickening live performances ever on the edge of total collapse and often tumbling into brilliance, via well-publicized pranks at the expense of corporate rock’s sacred cows (that time they graffiti-ed The Strokes’ tour bus, that time they stole Stevie Ray Vaughan’s guitar, that time they published Fred Durst’s cellphone number on the affiliated website Buddyhead), and – most potently – via four albums of sleek, sulphurous punk-rock that stoked their rage into a righteous, seductive party.
