November 12, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – Indie rockers The Wrecks are celebrating the start of their tour supporting The Driver Era with the release of “Fvck Somebody (Live In Denver)” today. Recorded on their recent headline tour, the performance of the hit single from their debut full-length 2020 release garnered a memorable response from fans that has stuck with the band ever since.

“We knew that returning to the stage after 18 months would be exhilarating, but nothing could have prepared us for what happened that night at the Bluebird Theater. After performing this song, the crowd interrupted our set with a 3-and-a-half minute ear-rupturing ovation, as if to say, ‘Welcome back’”, shares front man Nick Anderson. “After 18 months of frustration, confusion, isolation and worry, we stared teary-eyed at a crowd who needed this just as much as we did. We hugged, we cried, and we expressed our thanks – but most importantly, the show went on.”

Fans can stream “Fvck Somebody (Live In Denver)” as well as watch a video of the performance filmed at The Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO today at https://thewrecks.ffm.to/fslive.

Fans will have a chance to hear “Fvck Somebody” as well as other hits from the band’s catalog, including their debut full-length album, released May 2020 via Big Noise. The culmination of over two years of hard work, Infinitely Ordinary is made up of 8 honest tracks that fully encompass the Los Angeles-based quartet’s desire for perfection that is anything but ordinary.

Led by Anderson and rounded out by Aaron Kelley (bass), Nick “Schmizz” Schmidt (guitar) and Billy Nally (drums), The Wrecks have created an album that jumps from the anxiety-inducing “Freaking Out” to the self-sabotage anthem “Fvck Somebody”, the heart-pounding “Out Of Style,” to the introspective ballads title track – and throughout it all, Anderson had one goal in mind. “Music has to be honest for me, before anything else,” he says. “All of our songs are through stories, the anecdotes all happened—that’s the only way I know how to write something that feels impactful.”

The Wrecks formed in 2015 in Thousand Oaks, CA. With heavy influences from The Pixies, The Strokes, and Weezer, they snuck into a recording studio to self-produce their debut EP, We Are The Wrecks. The group’s 2018 follow-up, Panic Vertigo, earned similar acclaim, with Ones To Watch hailing the four-piece as “indie rock’s best kept-secret” and Billboard calling them “as authentic and honest as possible.” Since then, the band has racked up over 60 million plays on Spotify while securing a number of nationwide tours while opening for bands such as Nothing But Thieves, Silversun Pickups, The Struts, New Politics, Paramore, and All Time Low.
