Topshelf Records is returning to Austin for SXSW, and they’re bringing along several of their bands for a free showcase at Soho Lounge (217 E. 6th Street) on Thursday, March 19 from 12-6pm. The lineup includes The Velvet Teen, Wild Ones, LITE, Donovan Wolfington, Field Mouse and The City On Film. No tickets/wristbands are needed for the 18+ event, but RSVP here. This year the label is partnering with The Ally Coalition who will host the festivities along with sponsor Stone Brewing. Attendees can expect loads of free swag including slip mats, 7-inch records (courtesy of the fine people at Gotta Groove Records, limited to 500 and exclusive to this show), the Topshelf label sampler CD, canvas tote bags, stickers, screen printed posters (courtesy of Charlie Wagers Creative) and t-shirts — there are varying quantities of everything so get there early!
