London, UK – October 15th, 2014 – The UK-based female fronted electronic alt-pop band, Sykes have partnered with Interview Magazine for an exclusive EP stream of the release Gold Dustdue out10/20/14. The independent release is filled with catchy indie-electro sounds with an aura of elegance and sophistication. Between their impeccable musicianship to their enticing song lyrics, Sykes is the feel-good go to band that everyone can agree makes them smile. Here is what Sykes had to say about their brand new EP:

“Gold Dust is our new 4 track EP produced by Cam Blackwood.  We wrote three of the songs over the past year whilst gigging and living in London, and the track I’d Do It Again has been in our set since our first gig!  In contrast, the title track “Gold Dust¨ was only written two weeks before we went into the studio but we believed in it so much that it set the tone for the rest of the record.  Enjoy!” – Sykes

Sykes kicked off 2014 with tumultuous performances at Glastonbury and Vans Warped Tour UK and decided it would be the year they would alter their sound completely. Stemming off a more pop EP, Sykes teamed up with Cam Blackwood and Mazen Murad at Voltaire Studios to redefine their music with a spectral synth-pop sound to form their newest release Gold Dust. The EP features two singles/music videos “Gold Dust” and “Anybody Out There” already released to much acclaim on sites such as Q Magazine, BBC Radio 1, Metro and Fred Perry Subculture.
