Formed in the early 90s, the rock/punk/alternative quartet, Unwritten Law, have gone on to release multi-platinum records, and are now back with their 8th studio album, ‘Acoustic’, which will be released on the 1st April through Cyber Tracks.

The group have now unveiled the 2nd single, ‘Oblivion’, which premiered with Substream Magazine on 9th March 2016, HERE.

‘Oblivion’ is available to stream, embed and share through Soundcloud, HERE.

“‘Oblivion’ was originally written acoustically, but we translated it to distortion for ‘The Hit List’says vocalist, Scott Russo. “This version gives a chance to hear what I was really saying, as it is stripped and naked. In choosing songs for this record, I wanted to pick songs with my favorite lyrics, because I felt they would be more exposed.”

Acoustic is a masterful 13 track record filled with newly rerecorded Unwritten Law hits from ‘Unwritten Law’, ‘Elva’, ‘Here’s To The Mourning’, ‘Swan’, and ‘The Hit List’ into flawless acoustic renditions. The emotionally rich album will also feature two brand new tracks including “Huartbreaker” a cover originally performed by John Legend and MSTRKRFT and “Belongs To You,” written by Scott Russo. The album features Scott Russo (Vocals/Guitar), Chris Lewis (Guitar, currently in Fenix TX), Jonny Grill (Bass), and original drummer Wade Youman; produced by Jim Perkins and Scott Russo, Additional production by Chris Lewis and Joe Marlett, Mixed by Joe Marlett, and Mastered by Tom Baker of Baker Mastering.

UNWRITTEN LAW:
Formed in San Diego in the early 90’s, Unwritten Law was a major part of the pop punk movement that swept the decade with staple releases like Blue Room, Oz Factor, and Unwritten Law. It was in the late 90’s that the band would tour the world on The Vans Warped Tour and spring them into their biggest release to date Elva. As the band developed through the early 00’s they began honing in on the ever growing punk energy while featuring more of a rock sound which still remains present in their live shows to date. Today, the band has released seven fulllength studio albums which sold over 2 million copies and released half a dozen radio hits including, “Seein’ Red,” and “Save Me (Wake Up Call),” both of which entered the top 5 in the US Modern Rock Charts.
