WIND IN SAILS ANNOUNCES CD RELEASE HEADLINE TOUR WITH GHOST THROWER SPRING TOUR WITH RYAN CABRERA AND SECONDHAND SERENADE ANNOUNCED

JAN 20 – Newport, RI’s Wind In Sails has announced his next tour – a six-date run of CD release shows, with support from solo artist Ghost Thrower (Travis Alexander of Therefore I Am).

Wind In Sails, the solo project of Evan Pharmakis, will release his sophomore full-length Morning Light on February 24 via Headphone Music, an Equal Vision Records imprint. The first new song released from the album – “Push and Shove” – can be heard now at youtube.com/equalvision.

“I’m very excited to announce my short CD release tour for my new album Morning Light! I’m going to be performing almost the entire album at every date. I can’t wait to share these performances with everyone,” shares Pharmakis. “I’ll also have lots of great merch, as well as physical copies of my new CD at all of the shows. And I’m pleased to say that I will be traveling and performing with my good friend Travis of Ghost Thrower! We have been friends for almost a decade, and Travis is a terrific songwriter, as well as a great person. We both look forward to seeing you all at the date nearest you, and again thank you for all your support!”

Following the tour, Wind In Sails will next perform on the Radio Revival Tour wth Ryan Cabrera, Secondhand Serenade, Nick Thomas (of The Spill Canvas), and Runaway Saints. The full US tour will kick off on March 12 in Sacramento, CA and wrap up on April 15 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Wind In Sails has previously toured and shared stages with the likes of PVRIS, A Loss For Words, A Rocket to the Moon, mewithoutYou, Our Last Night, the Vans Warped Tour and more. All upcoming tour dates can be found below.

Morning Light was recorded at Apparition Sound Studios in Thompson, CT with producer Chris Curran. The 11-track album will serve as a follow-up to Brighter Days, an eight-song album released in October 2012 and the more recent Darker Nights EP (October 2013) – a raw, stripped down release touching on the loss of loved ones and betrayal of friendship, while still holding an underlying message of optimism. He elaborates, “No matter how horrible things can get, with a positive mentality there’s nothing we can’t push through. Things will always get better with time to heal.”

Ghost Thrower’s self-titled full-length is out now through digital retailers and available streaming on Bandcamp and Youtube.com/ghostthrower. Ghost Thrower is the follow-up to 10 Songs, a collection of the band’s debut EPs: Get Miserable and …Has A One That Got Away.

Pre-orders for Morning Light are available now at windinsails.merchnow.com. All pre-orders for Morning Light also come with an instant download of “Push and Shove”.
