Osara Release Self-Titled Debut EP

Osara have released their highly anticipated debut EP following a successful 30-day Kickstarter campaign and struggle with a rare but life-threatening nerve condition called A.D.E.M.

Founded in April 2013, and based out of Columbia, SC, Osara is Colton Beasley (Vocals/Guitar), Seth B. Boone (Percussion), and Ethan Gibbons (Bass Guitar). Osara provides an energetic live show focused on musicality, showmanship, and audience participation, and inspired by other artists like Alter Bridge, Of Mice & Men, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and many more.

After launching a successful 30-day Kickstarter campaign in 2013, Osara traveled to Black Dog Sound Studios in Stone Mountain, GA to be produced by award-winning, platinum producer Rick Beato (Shinedown, Crossfade, Needtobreathe).

In February 2014, just one month after leaving the studio, Colton Beasley was diagnosed with a rare but life-threatening nerve condition called A.D.E.M. His condition rendered him comatose, and all band efforts were halted as fans, friends, and followers rallied his recovery. After regaining consciousness, Colton spent the better quarter of a year in therapy recovering basic abilities, ranging from speech to mobility, at both MUSC in Charleston, SC, and Atlanta GA’s Shepherd Center.

A year to the day after leaving Black Dog Sound, Osara successfully released their 2015 self-titled EP with the support of their loyal fan base. Currently a three-piece, Osara continues to provide a passionate delivery of their music, their story, and their collective dream to fans at each live performance.

With all of the major obstacles to overcome, and the tenacity of the band members to succeed, the band is more focused than ever before. In late February 2015, Osara joined forces with Carolina Music Management, LLC, a new start-up venture based in Columbia SC with previous experience in the music industry, to be in a better position to promote and provide marketing and financial assistance to the band.

Within a short period of time Osara has not only reinvented their image and grown musically, the band is taking a more direct involvement with learning the business aspect of this industry. The focus will always remain on the music, but tasks such as strategic planning for live performances, having a creative marketing campaign, and presenting the product with professionalism should pay dividends in the long term for the band.

Over the next few months, Osara will be shooting its first music video, “Devils Daughter”, to be produced and directed by Iron Alley Films in Virginia, and the song “Parasite” has been selected for a national compilation CD to be released by THC Music. Osara has opened for national acts such as Saving Abel, Candlelight Red and Weaving the Fate and are currently scheduling dates with Atlanta based Poynte and A Light Divided from North Carolina to perform shows in the Southeast.
