West Yorkshire psychedelic alt-rock grunge weirdo’sAllusondrugs have announced that their self-titled EP will be released on 21st July via Clue Records, whilst they hit the road again on a relentless assault on the UK live circuit throughout July and August (full dates below).

Fans can preorder the EP on bandcamp here: http://cluerecords.bandcamp.com/album/allusondrugs-ep

The EP was recorded and produced in one week at Greenmount Studios in Armley, Leeds, tracked live to analogue tape as band members all set up and performed together in one room in an attempt to try and capture the band’s explosive live energy on record.

Initially recorded in January 2014, due to the band’s intense touring schedule and hat-trick single releases they have only just been able to pull together the nessecary time required to release their debut extended play record.

The five self-confessed fuzz junkies from Castleford, West Yorkshire formed in the autumn of 2012 & have been building a rabidly loyal following with their alluringly unique sound and DIY approach to releasing music online as and when they like, sometimes before it’s even finished. Streaming practices live on the web and hosting debauched release parties at monthly club residencies coupled  with growing praise for their explosive live shows saw them sign to newly founded Northern start-up Clue Records early last year.

Their first three singles – grunge-laden ‘Nervous, the beautiful shoegaze pop gem ‘Plasters’ and the stoner drone of ‘MyCat’- all sold out of their physical pressings & growing whisperings amongst press and promoters alike of their high energy, visceral live performances recently led to them being invited to play Live At Leeds & to headline the Leeds leg of Independent Venue Week.

Early support from BBC Introducing & Amazing Radio is coupled with glowing praise from NME, Kerrang, Q Magazine, Artrocker and more who are all marking Allusondrugs out as an act with huge potential for 2014. The band are in their element on stage and their wild live shows have been known to turn a room full of people into soup in minutes, with front man Moules raging and flailing like a shaman on a bad acid trip.

The E.P will be available online and in physical format through Clue Records. 100 limited edition cassettes will also be available through Pinky Swear Records.
