Miami rumba/ska/punk outfit Askultura has launched a Kickstarter for the recording of their 3rd full-length album! They also are supporting a vinyl split EP with legendary Italian street punk band, Cervelli Stanki, a remixed version of their 2014 LP I.N.F.E.R.N.O, and repairs on their bus.
Fans who pledge will find a plethora of rewards; the deadline to support is 11:59pm on Sunday, March 1. All reward packages come with a free download of the remixed I.N.F.E.R.N.O and a personal phone call from the band. Check it out here!
For the new recording, Askultura has enlisted the talents of some living legends of punk, ska and beyond including Pedrito Erazo, the singer of Gogol Bordello, Steve Jackson of The Pietasters, Ryan Eldred of Catch 22/El Dred, Mikey Classic of The Goddamn Gallows and many others.
The band says, “We don’t yet have a title for this new CD but these songs are mega premium! Insta-classic Askultura epics, tropical chants, acoustic sing-a-longs, fast punk rock, and real & traditional ska with titles like ‘Early Warning’, ‘Shower Beer’, ‘Tibetan Window Frames’, and ‘Mezzafettamobbstas’.
